Trust join the Manufacturing Champions Task Force

The champagne corks are popping here at Trust HQ as we’ve just learned that we’ve been shortlisted for two major national business awards.

Firstly, we’ve been recognised for our excellence in marketing our fantastic range of electric heaters by the team at the National Entrepreneurs Awards, with the final held next month at Birmingham’s ICC which we think is pretty cool!

However, we’ve also discovered that our co-founder, Fiona Conor, is in the running for a major accolade from the same organisation - which has 1,000s of members here in the UK - the Entrepreneur Of The Year!

Now Fiona doesn’t know we’ve written this blog as she doesn;t want to make this all about her so sssshhh don’t tell anyone!

However, we thought it was worth just highlighting WHY Fiona is in the running.

For a start, we’ve had our best year ever and we are growing at a fantastic pace, creating jobs and opportunities for a wide range of people who want to join our growing team which has gone from 15-20 in a time of huge challenges for the economy and small businesses.

We’ve also boosted our apprenticeship programme, with 4 new faces joining us and invested in the Kickstarter scheme. There are also a couple of partnerships with local schools, who we’re proudly working with to help teach and inspire pupils about potential careers in engineering.

Meanwhile, Fiona has even found time to work on what is the biggest challenge we all face, climate change, as she is currently chairing mayor Tracy Brabin’s Manufacturing Champions Task Force for Net Zero to reduce carbon emissions here in West Yorkshire.

So please forgive us a little self indulgence when the working week is over, we think we should celebrate whenever possible!
