“Will it stick out loads?” is one of the most common practical questions people ask before choosing a radiator.
Let’s get straight to the point, the NEOS radiator depth is 65mm (6.5cm).
The user manual includes recommended minimum distances to help maintain proper air circulation:
100mm from the lower edge of the radiator to the floor
100mm clearance above the radiator to a window board/overhang
75mm minimum to the sides from adjacent fittings/furniture
Avoid placing objects within 150mm of the front panel
The manual recommends installing:
Under a window or on an outside wall (common approach)
Or on an inside wall (but it may result in more uneven heat distribution)
It also states:
Do not locate the heater immediately below a fixed socket outlet or connection box
If you’re planning where it goes, it’s worth thinking about furniture, curtains, and sockets early — it can save you a faff later.
