A thermistor is a small temperature sensor used to measure the temperature around your radiator. Depending on the thermostat you choose, it may be located at the bottom left or right-hand side of the radiator (as a small black cable), or in the RF relay unit at the side of the radiator. The RF relay unit is a small wireless receiver that lets the thermostat communicate with the radiator.
The thermistor helps the system take accurate temperature readings and communicates with the thermostat, so the radiator can respond properly and maintain the temperature you have set.
