How slim are your radiators?
Our radiators are genuinely ultra slim, at only 6.5cm deep compared to other manufactures that are 10cm deep and charge an extra for anything slimmer.

How do your radiators warm the room?
Our radiators draw cold air in from the floor and rapidly convert it into warm air using our double / triple convection flutes. We use double / triple convection flutes to increase the warm air flow throughout the room and this results in a quicker heat up time. Other companies just use single convection flutes. Our radiators have a sensor to measure the room temperature at the floor level (the coldest part of the room) ensuring even heat distribution and no more cold feet. Other manufactures use complicated and expensive wall mounted thermostats that turn the radiators off after only the top half the room has been heated.

Are your radiator controls easy to use?
The choice is yours, we recommend an analogue control that is very simple to use and easy to understand. It allows complete temperature and timed control of the radiator. However if you would like a very complicated expensive digital control, used by other larger manufactures, then we can provide one

The NEOS is a hybrid electric radiator – combining the benefits of an electric radiator and a storage heater. They feature a built-in storage core but also provide direct heat. For example, if you set your room to 20 degrees, the radiator will initially use electricity to heat the space to the desired temperature. Once this is achieved, it stops consuming electricity and utilises its soapstone core to maintain the temperature, emitting heat without additional power consumption.
The radiator operates in cycles, typically running for only 17-30 minutes each hour, making it highly energy-efficient. This design provides the advantages of a storage heater, such as heat retention, while keeping energy bills lower, along with full controllability 24 hours a day.

How will radiators perform in a poorly insulated property?
Our radiators are calculated for each of your rooms based on an efficiency factor - this takes into consideration your insulation, glazing and nature of your property. So, if you have a poorly insulated property, we will increase the efficiency factor - supplying you with a larger radiator that will ensure your radiator performs optimally.

The NEOS is mainly a convection-based radiator. This means that 80% of the heat you feel is based on the convection process, of dragging cold air and then releasing warm air. The other 20% is radiant heat, which you can feel the closer you get to the radiator through the top lid.

What size electric radiator do I need?
The right size electric radiator depends on your room measurements and how easily the room holds heat (for example: insulation, ceiling height, external walls and window size). NEOS electric radiators are available in up to 5 power ratings and 3 formats (standard, vertical and junior), so you can match the heat output to each room.

How do I get my old radiators recycled?
When you buy a new heater from us, you can return your old electric heater for safe, responsible recycling through our Take-Back Scheme, or alternatively there is a network of recycling centres across the UK where consumers of WEEE can also take WEEE free of charge to be discarded, reused and/or recycled. The complete list of locations can be found at: www.recyclenow.com

How will the NEOS radiator perform in a poorly insulated property?
If you have a poorly insulated property, you may be wondering whether electric radiators are still a suitable option. We take into account the details of your home, including insulation and glazing, to work out the heat requirement for each room. In some cases, this means recommending a larger radiator (with a higher heat output) so the room can reach and hold a comfortable temperature.
While results will always depend on the property, we will recommend a setup designed to give you reliable, consistent warmth based on your home’s needs. For more immediate enquiries, book a consultation with us or call us on 0800 5999 109

All electric heaters are 100% efficient, so in simple terms 1kW in = 1kW of heat out. The difference is how effectively that heat is delivered into the room and how much is wasted.

How does Electric Heating work?
Sounds like a silly question, but it’s not, we promise. Electric heating works by converting electricity into heat. This is typically done using heating elements (such as coil wires) which warm up when an electrical current passes through them. That heat is then transferred into the surrounding air to warm the room.
The NEOS electric radiator uses both radiant and convection heat. Read more about electric heating work in our blog.
